Email marketing is not dead. People will, and do still sign up for email lists. Especially for a freebie. Thus, let’s look at some ways you can begin to build yours.
Why build a list? Quite frankly, you don’t own social media. I am not the first, and I won’t be the last to say that. When and if IG, Youtube, Facebook, Pinterest or any other app goes away, changes, or gets bought out, you will very quickly realize how NOT in control you were of that platform.
You may feel secure in your little corner of the internet. But you’re not, in reality. And that is not to scare you. But to maybe push you to prioritize getting humans from social, onto your email list. Which is a slightly more secure place to serve your audience.

Email lists are another way to provide deeper value to potential customers. And an opportunity for interested humans to learn more from you – to become a warmer lead.
Don’t sleep on the power of email. You call the shots. You get to send what and when you want to. These examples I have shared are three simple, broad-stroke ways to start. But you are ultimately in control of your list and what you do with it.
Have fun – make a theme or approach that is enjoyable for you, plus serves and connects with your audience.
