From 2013 to 2021, finding and linking high quality, simple exercise demo videos in my programs was a TASK. Having them be a female vs male? Even more impossible. If we’re being honest, Marcus Filly’s exercise library has completely carried the fitness industry on it’s back for over a decade.
This was a frustration I had for a long time (clearly). But if you’re a solo coach you know that creating an extensive and cohesive exercise library costs time, and money. Time and money that most coaches don’t have – even those with experience.
@paigemajorcreative has been the human behind the lens of every video shoot I’ve ever done for my programs. She videoed all of Movement 101 back in 2017. It’s one of my best selling recourses to date. And still EASILY one of the most valuable.
Fun story there: I also paid $497 to buy the head set I wore. And returned it the week after recording because it made sense fiscally.
She videoed all 153 videos for my Big Lift Audit resource (in my sister’s garage). And here we are, five years later having recorded over 350 exercises for my Pure PROgramming course Exercise Matrix and Youtube Library.
My YouTube channel and all exercise demos categorized via playlists is there FOR YOU. For the coach looking to access an organized exercise library for FREE – to use in your programs, send to your clients, or use for yourself. I get that we want our videos to be US. But I know first hand that this can’t be the case for most coaches, all the time.
If you’re out there videoing solo or using your iPhone, KEEP. GOING. And when you work up enough to hire some help, DO IT. The time it saves you is more worth it than I can express in this post.
I have shared my dreams beyond the exercise library at this point with Paige and a few other colleagues in the field, but that undoubtedly will have to wait a few years. It’s a dream which I don’t think anyone else will do, so it’s on me. As @rachel.balkovec says “I’m not done yet.”
