I decided to sign up for BBA after spending many years lifting weights somewhat haphazardly in the gym. Then I discovered Annie on Instagram, and I was impressed with her knowledge base and how genuine she was.

I love the compound movements that are always involved (the more “bang for your buck” kind of workouts & lifts)! It helps keep me in shape how I want to be and has kept me accountable! I am able to do 5 pull ups on my own!! A goal I have had for years!

I originally started BBA because I knew I needed some sort of strength training. I have done a couple of triathlons before, and I just felt like strength training was falling flat. Annie's BBA seemed to offer what I needed from a programming stand point, but really her entire philosophy is what drew me to dive into BBA. I love knowing why I'm doing things, how they should feel, how to identify when it is not working the intended way - and Annie's programming and approach to fitness checks all of those boxes. I didn't have any barbell training before starting BBA, but I bought Movement 101 and jumped right in.

What stands out most to me about Annie is that no matter how many times I may fall off or how hard I am on myself, she still shows up with positivity and unwavering support. I LOVE how she leaves a comment on every. Single. One. Of my workouts. She really takes the time to read all of my silly comments 😝 Like, oh, you thought that was funny too 😂 great, haha. It makes me feel like she sees me even 1,000’s of miles away. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! 

So a little secret of mine/something I’m not too happy about - I got really sick in March, like one month into my program, and I fell off for a bit. Got back on for a week. Had a life change and fell off again and now just starting to get back into routine.

I was a marathon runner who wanted to add more effective strength workouts to complement my training, and after 7 months with BBA, I am a marathon runner who loves strength training so much I’m tempted to run less so I have more time in the gym. With limited time to dedicate to planning strength work on top of running, training with Annie has made it so that every time I go to the gym I am focused with a purpose. I’ve never felt stronger, but more important for me, I’ve never felt more confident and knowledgeable about *why* I am doing what I’m doing. BBA has been great so far, loving this journey! When I started, my goal was just to get back into the routine of working out and eventually to get my eating back on track. I used Phase 1 to get back into the routine of working out regularly and making sure my form and tempo were correct. Currently, I’m down 15lbs and I don’t know how many inches, but my clothes fit significantly better. The program Annie build is amazingly effective. It builds up solid movement patterns like if you are doing barbell lifts like butter. 
I trained for 4 years before but when in Annies program, I noticed I still could learn a lot. And I did. Not only preforming all the main lifts correctly and heavier. I also discovered some flaws my body has which I had to pay more attention to.

I'm in the basic program. I have really enjoyed not having to worry about programming a workout, as I'd previously used blogs and pinterest for workouts. I was worried I might be bored doing the same three weekly workouts for a month at a time, but I've realized how satisfying it is to see real progress by doing this type of programming. I can't emphasize enough how difficult yet awesome the tempo cues are for each exercise. I've NEVER thought about tempo this much in my workouts! I feel so much stronger because of this.

Is there a start and end date?

Once you sign up, we get the ball rolling. You'll get an email explaining everything. You'll also receive an invite to the fitbot. Once you accept, you'll be assigned your first phase. From then on out, your phases are assigned every 4 weeks.

How long can expect to be in the gym for?

45-60 minutes. Depending on how long your warm up is and if you stretch afterwards. These workouts are designed to be efficient and effective. You're getting the most bang for your buck. I'm not trying to waste your time in the gym. #goteam.

What if I need to cancel?

DO IT. Just shoot us an email. You're a free woman. I get it, life happens. Just let us know and we cancel your subscription on the back end of our third party payment company. 

What if I have questions while going through BBA?

Simply ask the question inside the Built By Annie Facebook Group or True Coach.  You are also free to email with me any questions you're not comfortable asking inside the FB group.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE LIFTING WITH BARBELLS?

YAAASSS. You do. While there is no olympic lifting in BBA, you will be performing back squats, front squats, deadlifts, bench press, and overhead pressing as well as variations of those lifts. Check out Movement 101 if you want to join BBA but need help with the barbell. See each volume and teir (plus, or premium - vol 1 or 2) to find the right fit for you.

when do i get access to the program?

Within 48 hours of payment. You'll get an email going over the details of the phase roughly a week before the phase begins, ALWAYS. You'll be assigned the phase inside the fitbot before the program begins.

WHEN DOES MY PAYMENT COME OUT?

The same day you signed up. Every month a reoccurring payment will come out on the same date you signed up (sign up on the 14th, that's your payment date. Sign up on the 31st, that, or the end of the month date is your payment date).

do you look at videos of my lifts in bba?

NEGATIVE. BBA does not include video analysis.  That service is only for one-on-one clients.

how often do the workouts change?

Every 4-5 weeks you get a new phase.  The program progresses this way with deload weeks included. Your goal is to up the weight or reps depending on the workouts each week in preparation for the next phase.

HOW LONG DOES BUILT BY ANNIE LAST?

12 months for the full progression of each volume.
