Building a business owner is one of the most self-refining adventures we can go take on as human beings. And in my experience, boundaries make that experience better + more productive.
I literally posted last year about how I’ll get more done than people who choose their word for 2020. But when my mom shared her word with me for 2021 back in Janurary, I thought, “shit. That’s my word.”
Detach – At first this can seem negative. But to detach can be to create space. To specify one thing from another – let go. All positive things.
I didn’t love 2020. But I learned a lot. As we often do through challenge and adversity. In 2021 I have set and worked towards far more clear and aggressive boundaries. Online, in my biz, with my intentions, how I operate, who and what I align my biz with.
These are detachments. They are boundaries. They create space, are intentional and are aligned.
I hope you see how boundaries can be a form of detachment in a positive and productive way. Boundaries help you remain in control (to an extent), and ideally, able to enjoy your business without building resentment towards it or your clients. Whichever boundary sticks out to you, please prioritize that this week. Much love.
