It’s no secret that video is the future and now the present of content creation. Nearly every app and platform – search or social based has embraced and even pushed video content. Podcasts, YouTube (obviously), Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, everyone. So, being able to speak confidently on camera will most likely be needed.
While not everyone wants to speak face to camera for content creation, I guarantee you’re better at than you think. I know because you’re good at what you do.
This is you, talking to clients:
Versus you, talking to the camera- for stories or creating video content for the masses.
You’re comfortable talking to clients because it’s your passion. You’re simply sharing your gift and knowledge to help make someone’s life better. We need that behind closed doors education and spunk OUT IN THE WORLD my friend.
Put that beautiful personality and education INTO YOUR CONTENT. You can event think and position content as “mini coaching sessions” – speaking as though you’re talking to one person about a given topic. More on that below…
As I said, it’s often a situational thing – so here are some helpful tips if you feel resistance towards creating face to camera content of any kind:
👉Choose a topic you talk about with clients.
Talk to your audience as if they are a client. Walk through a hypothetical scenario and how you would handle that, or how you would have them handle it. The goal is to bring your audience behind the scenes of what it’s like to work with you.
👉 If recording directly in stories trips you up, pre-record it as a video and cut it into one minute pieces if you need to.
Stop and start as many times as you like. Just do it. You’re only going to feel more natural the more often you do it. So might as well start racking up reps.
Did stories come naturally to you? Or were (are) you hesitant?
