Three Sales Strategies that Don’t include Sales Calls

Sales are not synonymous with “sales calls.” There are many ways and sales strategies to generate revenue in an online business. While sales calls might be one of these ways, they’re certainly not the ONLY WAY.

I came 10k short of making multiple six figures in 2019, hit over a quarter of a million in 2020, and will hit half a million annual revenue in 2021 and did it all WITHOUT A SINGLE SALES CALL.

Maybe you’re like, “but Annie you could have made more with sales calls.” To which I’d say “Perhaps Tina, but sales calls don’t fit into my desired lifestyle. And I am creating a biz forever and always that supports the life I want to live, the way I want to live it.”

You are by the way, free to use sales calls. They are a tried and true way of conducting sales. But I have 0% desire for my Friday to be filled with sales calls, discovery calls, or free consultations (don’t care what you call them).

If you don’t opt for sales calls or are interested in not using them, YOU DO HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO SELL.

You need to be UH-MAZING at selling in another fashion. These strategies for me: IG stories, email marketing drip campaigns, webinars and kick ass sales pages.

Because I don’t want to be confined to sales call Fridays, I work on mastering sales in other areas, mostly via writing. Which works for me, because I enjoy writing. It is a creative outlet for me. I desire to learn my ideal client better and better. To address her frustrations and dream world possibilities on a deeper and clearer level. I then translate that into emails, sales pages and canvas images for IG stories.

Thus – Three ways to NOT use sales calls, but have a successful sales experience:

  • Social media (with or without ads)

Using social media to consistently drive people to your offer, funnel or live launch. Sales page needs to be strong for this friend.

  • Free workshop or funnel of some kind

This involves email marketing – someone opts into a freebie/workshop/challenge/or trial and then is upsold with an incentive to join your program.

  • Live, time sensitive launches with a waitlist & email marketing

Build a waitlist, build momentum, and create incentive for the waitlist to join. Hard open and close dates.

I use literally all of these in some combination amongst my offers. And they all require strong sales page and sales copy within the sales page and/or emails.

So, I am here to proclaim that you don’t NEED sales calls. They are not the only way to make money and gain clients.

I am living proof of a six-figure fitness biz without a single sales call.

If sales calls fit your biz, DO THEM, 100%. If they don’t, then master a different sales strategy.
