YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Don’t do your email list like that. They deserve better.
Email marketing is not dead. Fact is, people still sign up for mailing lists every day. And an email list is superior to social media for long term sales. So, how can we make sure you get a plan in place for emailing your list on a consistent basis, in a way that doesn’t result in you wanting to rip your eyeballs out?
Let’s.
First off – seek to make it:
Ideally your email is serving your audience (valuable to them, even if just to bring them joy, or a laugh, a different perspective, a tip, encouragement), and is something that is easy for you. Something you can pull from other content or that you simply enjoy creating!
You don’t have to come up with a name. You can in fact just call it an email list. But if the content is going to be something specific, it build recognizability by giving it a catchy but clear name.
You also do not have to send a weekly email if that feels overwhelming. Though you also don’t need to send lengthy emails. So if weekly feels like too much, perhaps a short form email wouldn’t? Or you can go with once every two weeks. That’s always an option!
You’re not looking for direct sales while building your list. You’re looking to get your audience OFF of social and on to your platform (kind of).
Don’t know what to do? Make a google form and poll your current list to figure out what they want from you!!! What would make them open your emails? Ask ‘em. No more getting people on a list just to ignore them. Rude.
