Your Instagram profile is yours. And you can do as you well please with it. We know instagram is always coming out with (and taking away) features. So, at the time of this post, instagram is allowing creators to pin three posts to the top of their feed. They stay here indefinitely, no matter what else is posted. I am personally a big fan.
As stated, I am team autonomy on your own profile. But if you’re wanting to use pinned posts, this is my suggestion. Feel free to expand or change as you like! You don’t have to use this feature if you don’t want to. But if you’re thinking “how can this work for me?” THIS IS HOW!
Think of pinned posts as your IG website. Yes, it’s valuable real estate, so fill those squares with value! Make your audiences life easier by clearly laying out the following (just like a website)
– WHO YOU & YOUR BRAND ARE
– BRAND VALUES
– EXPECTATIONS
– PAID OFFERS AND FREE RESOURCES
– HOW TO BEST NAVIGATE YOUR GRAM OR OTHER PLATFORMS
This is largely individual and based on what you see fit. What is most important for your new and current people to know?! Organize that, and get it in your pinned posts. This should make YOUR LIFE and YOUR PROSPECTS lives easier. It’s a win win. And we love a win win.
If pinned posts are still a thing at the time of you reading this, please check mine out. Don’t copy, that’s a dick move. But do look at information I decided to include. I hope you see the “website” vibe I am referring to. Again, I view this feature as a massive plus for businesses. We can better inform and direct our prospects.
