the blog
10 days of posting on Instagram 2 times per day.
I read that posting multiple times per day might be making it’s way back around for a way to grow your audience and gain exposure on IG.
This used to be the case when IG posts were chronological. The more often you posted, the more you’d be in the top of someone’s feed.
Now, we have the algorithm. Yay.
As with anything on Instagram, I give it a go, collect data, and make decisions from there.
So, for 10 days I posted two times per day at the same times
When you look at my findings, context is VERY important.
I posted a variety of content (still posts, reels, swipe graphics).
Reels are great for exposure in my experience BUT we can’t yet track data like: follows, shares, saves, etc.
So, the information is limited. Thus I only looked at REACH, LIKES, COMMENTS.
I used hashtags on some posts, not on others. I saw no correlation between hashtags and exposure or likes. They just took up space in my caption (rude).
The overwhelming bulk of my reach comes from my home page and people sharing my content, not the explore page.
But I have clients who use hashtags and get the bulk of their viewership from doing so. Do what works for YOU.
That’s half. Makes sense. I got double the exposure by posting twice…
Literally half. Or double, however you want to slice it.
So…whadduhya know – post twice per day, get double the exposure, double the likes, double the comments PER DAY. But not per post.
You get it? Want to reach more people? Try hashtags and daily double posts. Don’t be afraid to repeat posts.
