Starting an online business has had mass appeal for over a decade now. But especially post-pandemic, health and fitness professionals are looking to make their way into the online world. And many are wishing they had at least one foot in the world wide web before the pani began.
If there is one truth to starting an online business, it is that you will feel lost, inadequate, and like a fraud. There are, of course, possible upsides too, I promise. But starting certainly feels like the hardest part (until every next step after that also feels like the hardest part).
This post and video are here to help ELIMINATE some of the daunting tasks you think you need when getting started.
I spent the first two and a half years of my business doing this all backwards – 20 day challenges, 6 weeks transformations, coming up with freebies that lead to a completely misaligned funnel. I was looking at blog tactics and SEO when I really just needed to build an audience with free content and pitch 1:1 coaching.
It’s no wonder professionals feel overwhelmed when starting a business. You know the fitness or health, or nutrition, or hormones, but you don’t have a business degree. And to be frank, you’re bombarded with strategies, tactics, and biz gurus telling you their way is the best way. I don’t blame any coach for feeling paralyzed by that.
However, if you can remove the things that DO NOT need to happen now, you can better focus on what DOES need to happen.
That is what I want you to think about when starting:
